I apologize but I don't know where to post this so here it goes...

Does anyone know where in New England ...particularly Boston but I will travel at this point!....WHERE can I buy Sweetex? There are no Gordon Food Services here and I've asked at Costo and BJs....I'm going to lose my mind trying to find this stuff!! I have googled...nothing.

Any ideas are GREATLY appreciated!!

Ally

Is there a restaurant supply store near by, must be if you are near Boston, i would get out the phone book and call. You might have a Sysco, or Quandts (sp?) they would probably have it, but i don't know if you would need a commercial account in order to buy from them. Try your local grocery store, especially if they have a bakery they maybe able to order it for you.

The other thing is to ask for high ratio shortening, it maybe called by a different name in this part of the country.

I've lived near it my whole life and am still not sure what town its technically in.. haha..) Any way, probably not much help but I can confirm there's one there! hth a little!

Hi there, there is a bakers supply store in RI but it's not "sweetex" that they sell, but they sell a commercial quality high ratio shortening. From what I understand sweetex is a high ratio shortening, so it works just as well! anyone please correct me if I'm wrong!
Very Happy
